This Sunday, Christ calls us to an undivided heart: a clear eye, a quiet trust, and a life ordered toward the Kingdom.

Epistle: Romans 5:1–10

St. Paul reminds us that through Christ we have peace with God, grace in which we stand, and hope that does not disappoint.

Gospel: Matthew 6:22–33

Christ tells us not to be mastered by worry, but to seek first the Kingdom of God. Not because earthly needs are unimportant, but because the Father knows, provides, and calls us into trust.

The eye is the lamp.

The heart has one throne.

The Kingdom is near.
