Sunday, February 15th, 10:30am

lesson in love that costs something.

For weeks we’ve stood in mercy.

The Publican. The Prodigal. The Father who runs.

Today the Church lifts our eyes to the horizon.

In Gospel of Matthew 25:31–46, Christ reveals the Last Judgment. The nations are gathered, the books are opened… and the question is beautifully simple:

I was hungry.

I was thirsty.

I was a stranger.

The measure is not how impressive we were.

The measure is mercy.

Love of God becomes visible in love of our neighbor. A meal shared. A visit made. A kindness offered. A cup of water in His Name.

This is also Meatfare Sunday. Beginning tomorrow, we set aside meat as the fast gently begins—narrowing our appetites and widening our hearts.

The Church does not frighten us. She awakens us.

Come and See. All are welcome.
