Sunday of the Holy Cross
A lesson in strength that comes through surrender.
Hebrews 4:14–16; 5:1–6
Christ is revealed as our great High Priest—One who knows our weakness and invites us to approach the throne of grace with boldness. Even in struggle, mercy is near.
Mark 8:34–38; 9:1
Christ calls us to the paradox at the heart of the Gospel:
“Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
The path to life is not found in grasping, but in giving.
At the midpoint of the Fast, when the journey begins to feel heavy, the Church lifts up the Cross before us like a banner of hope.
Not as a reminder of suffering alone, but as the joy of the world, the strength of the faithful, and the doorway back to Paradise.
The Cross stands in the middle of the Fast like a tree in the desert—offering shade, strength, and the promise that Resurrection is already on its way.
All are welcome. Come and see.
Join us for Divine Liturgy this Sunday.
