9th Sunday of Luke — November 23

A reminder that what we build with Christ endures, even when everything else fades.

 Epistle — Ephesians 2:14–22

Saint Paul tells us that Christ Himself is our peace—breaking down every dividing wall, bringing near those who were far off, and making us “fellow citizens with the saints.” We are being shaped into a living temple where God dwells.

 Gospel — Luke 12:16–21

Christ offers the parable of the rich man who built up barns but not his soul—a story that quietly invites us to store up what cannot be taken from us: mercy, generosity, communion, and a heart open to God.
