Readers’ Matins & Typica

Sunday, September 27 · 1st Sunday of Luke

“Put out into the deep water.”

After a long night of catching nothing, Simon listens to Christ and lets down his nets once more. The catch is so great that the boats begin to sink. Simon sees his own unworthiness; Christ answers, “Do not be afraid,” and calls him to follow.

In the Epistle, St. Paul reminds us that God dwells among His people. The One who called Simon from his fishing boat calls us to make room for Him in our lives, too.

Join us for Readers’ Matins and Typica this Sunday at 10:30 at Holy Dormition Greek Orthodox Church. All are welcome. Come and see.
